Cultural Festival 2016

Tena koutou katoa,
well everyone, the Cultural Festival is over and you have made me (and the school) proud. I loved your energy and your enthusiasm on the night and how well you performed. I have had so many parents coming up to tell me how much they enjoyed the show and how amazed they were at your performance. They could now see how much hard work you had been putting in to your kapa haka or pasifika rehearsals and what you can achieve. I have included the link to your performance from youtube so you can watch yourselves (again and again and .............).

We have just been invited to perform at one of the University kindergartens and I am trying to sort that out over the next week or so. In Term 4 we also have the Ilam Culturalfest. Last year we called it the Ilam Polyfest but this year we have expanded to include performances from India and surrounding countries. Watch this site to get more information in the coming weeks.

Once again thank you for all your hard work leading up to the Cultural Festival and what you achieved at the festival, you were a pleasure to watch.

Ahakoa he iti he pounamu ("although it is small, it is greenstone" - a Maori whakatauki which can be translated to mean "our children maybe small but they are precious to us").
